Life at The Hive is becoming very dull. Your classes are too easy, the missions they send you on are childs play, and there are no hot guys here! You need something. You need to run, to fly, but you can't spread your wings in such a confining space as this.
"Hey, Dragon!" Jinx whispered fiercely at you, yanking a headphone out of your ear.
You growled a low warning. You've known Jinx since you were both young. The two of you met at Dark Way Prep as children. She's one of your closest friends, and the closest thing you've got to family. Your own had abandoned you at an orphanage as soon as they realized what you were. They couldn't handle a child like you. A fire breathing, fanged, claw and wing sprouting child like you. They were only human after all. Along with your physical tranformations, you are also extremely strong, fast, agile and fast healing. Your senses are also undoubtably superior to any humans. It didn't take long at all for The Hive to find you and take you in.
"What?" You said with a yawn as you lifted your head from your desk.
"Did you hear what Headmistress just said over the announcements?" Jinx asked.
"Nope," you replied with an unconcerned stretch.
"She said that my team just got selected for a mission. Some guy wants us to steal a rare egyptian gem for him from the Jump city museum." She explained with an excited smile.
"I don't see how that concerns me, you and I aren't on the same team."
"That's why you should listen more," Jinx frowned, "She said that you were picked to be on my team for this."
"Really?" You asked, fighting back another yawn, "cool. I needed to stretch my wings anyways."
"Yeah, hopefully we run into the Teen Titans. They're usually pretty entertaining. And since they haven't met you, they'll be in for a surprise."
             "Teen Titans?"
"A group of goody toe shoes heroes."

After the rest of your classes, you headed to your room and did some homework. Once that was through you changed in to a pair of (favorite color) skinny jeans and a custom made shirt with a low hanging open back. (Your wings, when not being used, appear as tattoos on your back. When they sprout, they use to rip through whatever shirt you were wearing.) A loud ram came at the metal of your bedroom door, and you put on a masquerade type of mask that covered the upper half of your face. Every once in a while, on your free time, you like to go to a nearby city and walk around. This little mask makes that possible. Because people only recognize you as a villain with it on.
"Are you ready to go yet?" Mommoth asked with a rough voice.
You opened your door and glared up at the hulking man that stood just in front of you.
"Yeah, let's go." You said, pushing past him.
"What's with the goofy mask?" He asked with a mocking smirk.
"Shut up, I like it." You growled. You don't expect someone like him to understand.

It didn't take long for the four of you to get from The Hive to the museum. You carried Mammoth beneath you as you flew, and Gizmo carried Jinx. When you landed on the roof, you grinned and pounded your fists down on to it. With that one pound you created a large opening for your team to fall through.
"I guess we should split up and look for the thing." You said, landing on your feet with ease.
"Yeah," Jinx agreed and rested her hands on her hips, "get the work out of the way first, then we can grab what catches our eyes."
           "Exactly,"
"Gizmo, Mammoth, you two take the first floor," Jinx directed, "Dragon, you take the upper east and north wings. I'll take the upper west and south wings."
You quickly made your way upstairs and wandered through its halls and exhibits. Until you rounded a corner and entered a hallway filled with hyroglyphics in glass cases on the walls. Continuing down the hallway at a somewhat leisurely pace, you entered a large egyptian exhibit. And at the rooms center is a square display case. Inside the display case is something that makes you grin. A large sapphire, a little larger than your fist. It has gold surrounding it in an extraordinary vine like design. Tracing your claw in a circular motion on the top of the glass, you read the plaque next to it.
"It is said, and this has been known in Egypt since the dawn of time, that who ever holds this gem in their palm, will be blessed by the goddess Hathor." you said out loud, taking the beautiful thing into your hand, "Egyptian Sky- Goddess of love, beauty, motherhood, foreign lands, mining, music and cows. Those who hold this gem will also hold the heart of whomever lips they capture. Legend says, that only the heart of someone who is truely in love cannot be swayed by the gems mystical powers."
You examined it in your hand and smiled.
"If only it were really that simple," you sighed.
You turned to leave, but see someone in the doorway.
"You shouldn't take things that don't belong to you," he said.
A guy, maybe about your age. Dressed in green tights, heavy looking boots, a red shirt with an "R" on his left peck, and of all things... A CAPE. And a mask! You smiled, and very nearly started laughing at the stereotypical outfit he wore.
"Let me guess, a Teen Titan?" You smirked, resting your weight on one hip and tilting your head.
He smiled and pulled a staff from behind his back.
"You guessed right." He said back, poising his body to fight.
A wicked grin spread across your face and you licked your lips. Looks like you've found a play mate. You have a firm grip on the large gem in one hand and gesture for him to come at you with the other.
Each advance he makes, each swing of his staff you avoid with little difficulty. You're having fun with this kid, he can actually almost keep up with you. But then you feel the cold stone of the museum wall at your back and he's holding the end of his staff only a couple inches from your chest. His smile is mocking but you smile back.
Your hand grips the end of his staff and pushes down to push your body up. You use this force to flip yourself over him. Your foot barely makes contact with his back but it still sends him into the wall. After a couple more flips you stand up straight and face him. His smile is gone and he growls at you.
"Are you even trying?" You ask teasingly.
He comes at you again, this time with a furious yell. His movements are harsher and with each swing of his you find it getting a little harder to dodge. His foot came up in a rough kick to your chest that made you slide back a foot or so. He's actually challenging you. Only a handful of people have been able to do this. His staff swings at your legs, and you dodge by jumping into the air and twisting your body. One leg comes up and swings at him but his arm blocks your blow. Even with that block he was still sent flying and crashing into the museum wall.
"I guess we're done here." You said with a shrug and turned to continue down the hallway. Then you could hear a soft, pained grumble coming from behind you.
The boy, is trying to stand. You frowned. You only knew one person who could still move from a kick like that from you, and that's Mammoth. You stepped towards the boy, hauling him into a sitting position by his elbow. Leaning him against the cracked wall you squatted in front of him, only a few inches from his face.
"What did you say?" You asked.
"W-what's your name?" He said through clenched teeth.
You smile sadly at him. You didn't mean to hurt him so bad.
"You don't need to know my name." You answer and rest your free hand on the side of his face, "but my classmates at The Hive call me Dragon."
             "You're a Hive student?"
You nod. He probably has a few fractured ribs, and his arm is probably very badly injured. You didn't see if he hit his head or not, but if he did he could have a concusion. You know what you have to do. Pulling your hand away from his face, you stick your tongue out a little and run a claw across it, drawing blood. You move your hand to the nape of his neck and press your lips to his, forcing him to keep his lips locked with yours. You force your wounded tongue into his mouth before the cut heals.  Strangely, he doesn't protest to this. You only pull away once your wound closes.
"You should be fine now," you say gently, moving off and away from him. "It'll kick in, in an hour or so depending on how much you got."
Before you walk away you look down at him and cross your arms.
"You have a strong will." You say to him, "if you make your body as strong as your will... you can come and fight me again. You may even beat me... but then again... humans can only handle so much."
With that said, you turned and walked away down the hall towards where you entered from. You'd been holding the gem the entire time. Never once letting escape your grasp.
You reached the main entrance and found your team mates fighting against four others. You observed the battle, taking in all that you could. A red haired girl, who flies, and can shoot green beams from her eyes and hands. Another, girl? In a navy blue cloak. A green boy who can shapeshift, only into animals it seems. And a larger guy with robotic pieces making up most of his body. His arm is some sort of light cannon. The Teen Titans.
"Jinx!" You yell, sprouting your wings and flying down to capture one of Mammoths hands in yours.
"Gizmo!" She yells with a smile your way. Gizmo swoops down to grab Jinx, and as you leave out the hole in the ceiling the Titans look like they're about to follow.
"Hey snot for brains!" Gizmo yells back at them, "you might wanna go find your crud munching leader! He might mot have long to breathe if that moron fought Dragon!"
You didn't see their reactions but you couldn't hear them pursuing you. The flight back was occupied with Gizmo and Mammoth bragging about their fight with the Titans. Which by what you had watched, it looked like they were losing pretty bad. You and Jinx on the other hand stayed silent. You could feel her eyes on you, and knew that she would have something to say to once the two of you were alone.
After reporting to Headmistress and giving her the gem, Gizmo and Mammoth broke off from you and Jinx. The two of you walked in the direction of her room. (which is a long way from yours btws) And only when she was sure that the two of you were alone did she speak.
"You didn't kill him did you?" She asked, almost sounding concerned.
"No," you said with a shake of your head. "Did you think I would?"
"I've known you for a while, I know how you get when you're fighting Dragon. You're really cut throat."
"That was when we were younger..."
"You almost killed See-More back at Dark Way Prep." She said with a frown.
"I fixed him didn't I?! Stop chastizing me like you're my mother!" You roared at her, clenching your fists at your sides.

The way Jinx talked down to you as if she were your elder always made you angry. Your mission with her and her team was over a week ago. Today is Saturday, and your planning on spending it outside. You walked at a lazy pace up and down the streets of Jump City, trying to clear your head and relax.
You walked into a yummy smelling pizza parlor and order a large pizza. Yes, you can eat a whole large pizza by yourself. You sat in a booth by the large front window, sipping on your pop as you wait for your pizza to be ready.
That's when the bell above the door jingled and a weirdly familiar scent came slithering in. You glance over your shoulder and you'll be damned if THAT BOY and his team aren't at the counter just a few booths away from you! Your palm comes to slam your forehead from the stupidity you felt.
They all moved to sit at a booth on the opposite side of the semi-small pizza parlor. A waitress came to set your pizza on your table. You anxiously ate, never letting your guard down. They laughed as they ate, you didn't dare glance over at them. But you did your best to match voices to bodies and bodies to names. Robin, is the name of the boy you'd fought, and from how relaxed he sounds you have to assume that your blood had healed him like you wanted it to. When you were down to the last two pieces you stacked one on top of the other. You left enough money on the table to pay for your food and leave a nice tip for the waitress. After pulling up your hood, you grabbed your pizza sandwich and quickly stepped out the door. You had to walk past the window they were sitting by to head back the direction you came. And your eyes couldn't help but glance... You met his eyes as you passed, and his eye brows raised.
'Fuck, fuck, fuck,' you thought to yourself and stepped quicker down the side walk, keeping your head down.
"Hey!" His voice called after you.
You stepped quicker, pretending not to hear him. But that's when you could hear him running to catch up to you...
